Learning to ride
I just signed up for a riding course at JCCC to get licensed and learn the basics on riding a motorcycle. I have a bunch of friends that ride and I've always gone back and forth on getting a bike. My dad has an itch for something new and riding together has caught his attention. He use to have bikes when he was younger but was forced to give them up once he started having kids. He is kind of worried for me since he knows the risks of riding, he went through a rear windshield many years ago. I looked at harleys and cruisers but that's just not what I want. I've decided to go with a sportbike and have settled on a Honda CBR600rr like seen above. Should be fun!

There are a ton of people who enjoy riding now, so both you and your father should take the class. Urge him to take it with you especially if it's been years since he has been on a bike. The classes are awesome and you will learn so many great things to keep you safe on the road. My son purchased a sport bike after we purchased our first Harley. The class, I'm sure saved his life at least once when someone didn't see him and almost ran him off the road. The best rule is to take the class and get some experience on the bike. We enjoy riding on back roads and seeing the sites. Have fun and enjoy your class!
ReplyDeleteLets talk Boo! I did this and have never looked back. I think ev ery rider need to take classes like this because it teaches you so many safety things. You will love.
ReplyDeleteA 600 is a good bike for learning. A lot of dealers will try to talk you into something smaller such as a 250 or 500 cc because they know you'll get burnt out on quick, prolly a month or two. The other bikes are safer for starting out but since you're taking the class before hand you shouldn't have any problems.
ReplyDeleteExciting! Good Luck!
